Can I see work you have done near me?
Yes. Tell us your town and we will send photos of doors we have finished nearby, usually including the same era of house and often the same builder. Seeing a door from your own neighborhood is far more useful than a general gallery, because the housing stock changes sharply from one part of this region to the next.
Can I speak to a past customer?
In many cases yes. We ask permission first, so it depends on who has agreed, but we can usually put you in touch with someone in your area who had comparable work done. Ask when we quote and we will arrange it rather than making you chase it.
Do you ever turn work down?
Yes. If a door is too far gone to refinish honestly, we say so and tell you what replacement would involve instead. That happens most often with structural rot through the stiles rather than the bottom rail. Taking money for a finish that will fail in a season is not worth the review it earns.
